Jerry Saliba |
Jerry has been married for 52 years to his wonderful wife, Diana. They are parents of three children, Sam, Tracy and Jennifer. They are also grand-parents and great grand-parents. Jerry was born in Amsterdam, New York and was raised in Syracuse. He and Diana moved to Morrisville to attend college. After graduation he established himself as a dairy farmer which they operated for the next twenty years at which time he felt a call to pastoral ministry.
In 1981, he received the call from Randallsville Baptist Church to be their pastor. He served as senior pastor for 25 years until 2006, at which time his assistant, Al Chandler, assumed the position of senior pastor thereby releasing Jerry to function as the director of Elim's Men's Ministry and also the director of Valiant Men of God Ministries.
Jerry has a passion for hunting, fishing and all kinds of sports. He pitched baseball until he was thirty nine but his greatest passion is serving the Lord, preaching, teaching and encouraging men in their walk with God. He has discipled many men meeting with them weekly, studying the Word of God and sharing life experiences. One of the primary purposes of these discipleship groups is to provide accountability. Jerry is a firm believer in accountability and transparency. | |
